CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1971D 25C RPM

    I'm assuming that because there's no documentation on this that this is MD even though it appears to have a split lower sherif on the D?

    In my opinion, that mint mark looks pretty torn up. Not sure of the cause but there seems to be some sort of pitting near the mintmark area.

    I checked conecaonline.info and varjetyvista and as you said, there aren't any listings. I just don't see enough to call it an RPM.
