Gerry Fortin's wonderful seated dime variety resource (https://www.seateddimevarieties.com/pictorial/1837.htm) lists:
* F-103a (https://www.seateddimevarieties.com/...7_103apage.htm) - small date (check), 7 points between two denticles (check), reverse horizontal die crack rim to ONE DIME (check), die alignment left 23 degrees (no)
* F-103b (https://www.seateddimevarieties.com/...7_103bpage.htm) - small date (check), 7 points between two denticles (check), reverse horizontal die crack rim to ONE DIME (check), die alignment normal (?)
The 103b page mentions the different die alignments as evidence of different production batches. Given other varieties mention rotations as small as 5 degrees, 13 seems likely outside normal tolerance?
Thanks, as always, for the feedback.
* Calculated the die rotation by overlaying the slabbed images, aligning the tabs of the white insert & measuring the rotation angle from the horizon to DIME.
