CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    2017 P Roosevelt Dime DDR?

This dime appears similar to 2017-P 10 cent WDDR -004 and Variety Vista 2017 P DDR - 001,1-R-VII.
Would like others opinion before moving on with it. Photo 7 is probably the best to view what I believe is the doubling.
    Thanks, Steve

Question for someone reading this. Instead of posting this here should I have posted this in the NEW TOPICS section?
Thanks for helping me to understand the proper use of the forum.

In my opinion, this is a die variety section and if the original poster be
Ieves it to be a potential doubled die, it needs to be in the variety forum.
I do not believe there is forum there to post; its just a summary widget.

As for the coin above, single squeeze era coins are not my favorite doubled dies so I tend to steer clear of them. I know there has been limited varieties released since 1996 so any potential finds are looked at. To me, the photos look like they have a higher power magnification than 10 to 15x. Its up to CONECA to determine if it is a doubled die or not.

If you dont get an answer here, you can try the CONECA SERVICES forum. Go to the ATTRIBUTION forum and under there add a post. You can add a link from this post into the attribution forum post. I highly suggest adding as much text and photos as possible. This way you may receive an answer on the CONECA staff members first pass, rather that having multiple back and forth conversations. The people who work at CONECA are volunteers so sometimes it takes a bit to get an answer.

As for forum posting questions, i do have a post in my signature block to give an idea what to post in which forum.

In my opinion Variety Vista is a great resource to learn from but not all DDO/DDR listed on that site are confirmed errors. Most grading companies will only grade and desginate the error if you have gone thought the process of attributeing them amd have multiple confirmations and ultimately getting them listed in one of the magorly published coin books. Most newer on VV are coins that are just reports of possible errors and Varietys. You definitely have confirmed the die chips but most of those are really minor. The DDR I personally do not see in the photos.
