(Read Carefully so you fully understand this good lesson)
So I found unlisted die state that I think is pretty important for beginner collectors to know. ( un listed die state markers, Late die stage 1DO-014)
The reason why I call it unlisted, even though I am saying its 1DO-014
My coin IS coppercoins listing 1964 1DO-014.
But mine is missing the doubling on the top of the 4 protruding cross bar, likely due to heavy die polishing/or die wear.
Very last photo is 1954 D RPM (triple D,D,D) i have this RPM, but I posted that to show how die state can make true doubling disappear.
But i thought it was cool! AU to XF(EF) depending on who is judging.
But yeah, idk if you noticed on coppercoins how one listing has EDS, MDS, and LDS that you have to click to see the listing photos?
If i listed this, it would be LDS. But i wont be listing. I think posting here and letting others have the potential to learn something by seeing this, finding it, and listing it themselves.
EDS-early die state or stage. MDS- mid die state or stage
LDS-late die state or stage
i hope this proves my point enough.. let me know what you think.
also, why does my font always look like this? IMG_0399.jpg IMG_0416.jpg
sorry not the greatest photo of the date, but i can assure you that the doubling is not there. Only thing i see now is a die deterioration line.
