  • 2001P DDR (1DR-006)?????

Ok the closest one I can find for a match on this one would be the 2001P-1DR-006, yet it seems to be a little longer then this variety. Also I can not find any of the die markers outlined for the MDS of this. Thanks any comments as always are more then welcome

    Thanks

That is a nice column doubled DDR. It does appear to be very close to the one you identified on the CC site - but I think yours is a little larger.

For me, identifying/matching markers is the toughest part of this hobby. Markers change over time - and even if you do have the variety listed, you may or may not be able to match markers for previously analyzed specimens.

I have found several nice 'bar' type column doubled DDR cents that are not listed on CC. Yours may be a new one as well. I did a 'same scale' comparison with your photo and the CC photo - and it appears that your 'bar' extends a little higher than the one shown on CC.

Thankyou very much for the reply Russellhome. Yes identifing the die markers for me, is the hardest part, well next to actually spotting the doubling that is.
