CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    QUAD OR SEXTUPLED FG OF 2008-D CENT

    hELLO all,

    Lost the first draft a few minutes ago. Attached is the hardly photographed 'FG' initial that looks like at least quad or sextupled 'FG'.
    Coins we mailed to Dr. Wiles and our posted DOUBLED EARS COINS
    the other day have them Rest of Obverse/Reverse design elements are doubled,. Reason why we posted them as seemingly simlar as the 1997 DD EAR.

    The top photos show die deterioration doubling. The bottom shows multiple stepped machine doubling.
