Die Marks or Plating issue 1996 cent?

Hi 2Old,
These are lathe marks. Many people have been finding these mainly on 96'. When I say "many people" I mean approx. 5-7 people on another board that I live on. These lines are generally worn off from die use. They are neat though. I personally wouldn't get rid of it. Someone else may want to go into further detail but that's what they are. Nice find!

First Posted Nickel With Lathe Lines.
I found this coin while searching a bag a nickels I've gotten from a local corner store.First time I ever heard of lathe lines was 11-18-2010 and 11-24-2010 I landed my first coin.Its a 2008-P Nickel..Call it luck,lol..I dnt see many people turning up with nickels with lathe lines, its more cents, ''1996''..
