CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Good Week for Varieties

Just thought I'd mention the varieties I've been fortunate enough to find over the past week- I've gotten

1984-DDO 2-O-II Not the doubled ear but a nice class 2 spread
1994-DDR 1-R-IV The one with the strong extra column on the far right
1997-DDO 1-O-IV+VIII Which is the doubled earlobe.

Much better than the drought I was in the past month!

Wow, I'd be happy to get those in six months.
Not as much luck here in Boston. Only a single 2000 wide AM.

Maybe it's just a question of volume- I try to go through $100 to $150 in cents each week. Although, it's been a year since my last 1994 DDR so that was more luck than anything. I pretty much average one 1997 doubled ear per $350 in cents.

That would explain it. I can only manage between $25 and $50 worth per week. I work full time and have two school-age kids.
