CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    2008-D SMS NM DDR 25C

    Greetings all. Just found what appears to be a DDR on a 2008-D SMS New Mexico 25c. It looks similar to those found on the 2008-P NM business strikes. I took several pictures as it was difficult to do so through the mint set. Attached is a close-up.

    Looks like another State Quarter doubled die. Nice find. I have yet to find anything at that spot on a NM quarter. There are a couple of known varieties now - so I'm sure one will turn up eventually.
