CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Looks to be die deterioration - possibly some machine doubling.
    Just my opinion..........................

      Many thanks as always for your assessment feedbacks.

      Got a question on the signature symbol (DOUBLED Ear???)that you are using.
      Looks like similar to this posted 1989 DD ears, (also with some of the others we posted). What year/listing is it?

        My avatar is a 1997P Lincoln Cent. I believe this is still under scrutiny by some as to whether it is a doubled die. I like the looks of it no matter.

          Hopefully your coin is genuine.

          We will be posting what seemed to be a genuine DD EAR. The coin has doublings in all OVERSE and REVERSE. But then again, we're not
          experts and will await helpful feedbacks from you and others.
