1956 D Lincoln Cent What is This?

I recently came accross a 1956 D Lincoln what looks like a "S" between the 1 and 9 in date. Anyone help with what this might be?
    Thanks in advance.

Since nobody else has chimed in on this I guess I will. This one is different and I'll explain what I mean soon. 1956-D D/S is a controversial cent. Some organizations have debunked this OMM to include Coneca believing them to be die scratches. It was listed as OMM-001. Several people feel that it is a true OMM after looking at overlays...to include myself. There is another one but the S is just on the East side of the primary D MM.
Now to why yours is different: Your assumed S is closer to the 9 and tilted than on the OMM-001. Your pictures are at an angle whereas all references are taken head on but I think I'm seeing it correctly.
So to answer your question. It's either an S MM or die scratches.

    Hope that helps,
    Lestrrr

P.S.- Would you mind if I shared your photos and get more opinions?

As Lestrrr said, it does not correspond to either of the overmintmarks known (or claimed) for this year. While it could be a new discovery, it looks just too good to be true. My suspicion is that it's simply a stain that resembles an S-mintmark. Still, it would be worth sending to James Wiles or BJ Neff for a closer look.

It is very interesting and as both post before this one state, it is not the controversial D/S 1956 Lincoln cent. I would be happy to look at it if you would like.
