1961 DDO

Hello all, this 1961 looks similar to 1DO-002 on the date but does not have the die scratches near the nose. Thank you for the help.

Big difference. The fact that it's a proof precludes your coin from being 1DO-002 - that DDO happens to be on a business strike. That said it doesn't mean it is not DDO. You say it appears similar, in which way? 1DO-002 is a class 2 DDO but I don't see anything to indicate any such doubling in the pictures provided.

As an FYI: 1961 Lincolns often exhibit evidence of master die doubling (MD-1-O-II-C ) - be certain that isn't what you are seeing on your coin...
