  • 1944 D ???? OVER S ?

Hello Everyone, I have attached a few pictures (the best I could do) of a coin I came accross that has me baffeld. It is a 1944 D and on first impression I thought it was a weak RPM D/D. When I look at it closer I noticed that the arc of the secondary mint mark ( above primary) is not the same as the prmiry mark. Second there is mark inside the primary that resembles what could be part of an "S" (the center portion). If the pics come out clear enough would like your imput.
I have other 44D/S omm 001 and this doesn't fit with them.

    Thanks in advance

Since there are numerous die scratches in the same direction to the line that youhave pointed out, I would think that it is a die scratch instead of a errent punched extra mint mark.
