CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    2008 D Andrew Jackson DDR

    Hello all, I cannot find any info on this one. It is a 2008 D Andrew Jackson Dollar that looks similar to the DDRs of 2007 on Variety Vista. Thanks for the help.

    Hi Edward - I just campared photos of known doubled dies and your coin and it maybe worth sending it to an attributer to see if it is indeed a doubled die.

      I have not been able to send in the first coin yet. Posting #2 coin I just found last night. It seems to be more pronounced then the first one. Thanks for the help.

            Returned Attributed Coins

            Hello, just got back my attributions on these 2 coins.Thank you for your services James Wiles. They were attributed as: (2 copies) 2008D, Andrew Jackson., DDR-001, 1-R-VIII, Stage A, EDS.

              Just wondering if it would be worth slabbing these two coins. Also are these the 1st coins from Denver Mint discovered with a DDR or have they been found on 2007 as well. I would like to also know if the Reverses of all the Presidential Dollars are Made by the same master dies. Thank you

                There are several known Denver DDRs from the single squeeze process. No research has been done to determine if the same reverse design is used from year to year. I suspect it is the same design.
