  • 1915 5c Buffalo......? mis-placed "S" Mintmark..opinions please

    .
Hello, I purchased this raw and did not notice that it has what appears to be a faint mis-placed "S" under the "C" in CENT, it went to pcgs as a 1915 P, they gave it a grade of MS64 (1915 P) so they did not notice it either,
    Opinions please.

The coin is on it's way back to me from pcgs.

Since you did not mention it to PCGS, they ignored it. If you wanted the coin to have a "possible misplaced mint mark", then it has to be stipulated on the submission sheet. Even then, if PCGS does not agree with what you see, they will not put it on the encapsulation label.

BJ Neff is correct in what he is saying yoy must tell them about ever little detail in order for them to designate it otherwise they won't have any knowledge of what you want on the slab.

Thanks for the responses, I'm not upset that they did not see it, I'm asking if anyone here has seen this type of thing on a 1915 Buff before?
