CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1960P DDO-010 (stage a?)

I believe this is 1960P DDO-010 (10-O-VI) - it matches the description (especially the die chip in the R, though this looks like more of a break). So this make this a VEDS Stage A as it does not have the Stage B markers present? (I am really trying to understand the appearance of die states on Lincolns is why I bring it up.) Crawford notes this as a Class II & VI with separation on the 9 and TRU; my example has what appears to be Class II separation on all of IGWT, strongest on TRUST and 960, strongest on the 9. I have no idea where the line is drawn between a single class of doubled die and a hybrid of two or more.
