  • 1955 Franklin Bugs Bunny

Just wondering if this would be considered a 1955 Franklin Bugs Bunny? Also it appears the date may be doubled as well as on the reverse the left handle of the bell shows what appears to be doubling and a crack on the verticle arm?

    Thanks!

The date appears to have the beginnings of die deterioration doubling. The eye and the lips of Franklin seem to be pretty much normal as does the reverse eagle.

There is another 1955 that shows evidence of clashing. The clashing on this one is behind Franklin's head which came from the M of UNUM. This might be what you have.

      Here's a closeup...

has a nice picture of the bugs variety.. What the teeth are is actually a die clash from the little eagle on the reverse of the coin. I cant tell with your pictures if yours is one or not, but in hand you should be able to tell with the picture from above..

The other anomalies you mentioned have been explained by BJ..
