1949S 4s Question
When I first looked at this coin I could see the second 4. My angle was looking up from the MM. Then later when I want to picture it, I couldn't find it as easy. If I send it in for attribution, how could I explain this - and is it worth sending in?

Okay, we know that it is not a doubled die. If the anomaly is incused, it could be struck through a foreign object, which would include a dropped design element. If the anomaly is raised, then it could be a die gouge/scratch/scrape that is mimicking a four digit.
If the anomaly is that hard to see, then it would be considered minor at best. As far as attribution and the fees attached for that service; it is all according to what you want to pay to see what it is.

It may only be a die gouge, but to this optimistic eye, it could have been a four. It had the right angle and good separation. I'll continue to have the imagination to see the possible and the impossible. Knowing each time I submit a possible I’ll receive a dose of reality, with a scoop of knowledge.
Thanks again for taking the time to check out the photo's
