CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I see die deterioration in the form of a low ridge just inside the rim. I also see split plating above some of the letters. There's no doubled die.

      Hi Mike,

I am interested in the columns.......especially the far right one.
      This is not doubling?

I see no doubling. If there is any, it's too subtle to detect in the photo you provided.

If I can add to this post. There are back columns in bays 1, 5, 7 and 11 that are part of the normal design (right side of column 1 and 5 and left side of column 7 and 12. At times these columns do not show because of die deterioration and / or die abrasion. So when you are looking that the Lincoln Memorial on a cent, you are actually seeing 16 columns.
