1970-D Washington Quarter DDR's

Does anybody have any good photo's of the 1970-D Washington Quarter DDR's? Specifically FS-801 and FS-802.

I've come across a couple but the CPG photo's are really lacking.

I think this one is FS-802

And I think this one is FS-801

They are fairly LDS which makes it difficult but the two coins are definitely different.

Here are a few of my DDR #2 (802) if that helps. The die marker of the scratches going North from the arrow tips really help to id this one.

I sent a few of these in to James Wiles and of the group I have, half were to minor to list but a couple represented a new DDR Variety for the 1970-D.



I let James pick one to keep for his collection and asked him to send the other to ANACS for slabbing.

Since I don't have any pictures I still do not know which is which but when I get the submission back from ANACS, I'll photograph it and post the pictures here.

A little disappointed and a little excited. Part of me wanted DDR-001 or DDR-002 (that's the disappointed side) and the other part is happy about the new variety (since I have more than one).

I guess I need to pickup some type of a Reference on Quarters that has good identifying photographs as the CPG is VERY Limited.

Anybody have some suggestions?

Judging from the Photo James just sent me, the top 4 photo's in this post are the DDR-006 coin.
