CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

That appears to be the 1997P Lincoln cent, DDO-001. I suggest looking for the die marks below the bust for confirmation on your find.

      Thanks BJ.
I see V D B under the bust. Please forgive a beginner's question, but can you tell me about the die marks or point me to a resource?
      Thanks again!

The second picture by fishaddict down the page here:

Shows the only die marker I could find with some googling. Also checked Cherrypicker's Guide and Ken's book, but no mention of die markers for this particular one. Hopefully BJ will post with the details of the markers below the bust.

Ken's got some pictures of it with the doubled areas highlighted here:

I had to go into Billy Crawford's files to find the picture that I was looking for. Notice on the first picture of Billy's to the left, there are two die gouges between 5 and 6 o'clock. These are what to look for.
