CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    If Im wrong on this ,oh well.. I did research this doubling a little and mine look the best to me.I think this is one of the better doubling in its class!!!

    Hi Coin Crazy,

    I think I have a similar coin, but unsure if it's going to at least equal yours.
    Will post when nobody claims a better one. Hopefully yours is better than mine, or just equal yours, so we can both enjoy and share the feat.

        Mike is absolutely correct; die deterioration doubling is what you are seeing.

                      To me it looks like the coin is showing machine doubling, die deterioration doubling, and plating problems. I see no evidence of a doubled die.
