1971-S Ike Proof Die re done to MS Die???

Here one I not to sure what was done to it. it proof like put mint as a MS die?

It looks to me ,that there was a clashed die, where the die surface was filed to remove clash marks,and possibly re-engraved to bring back details of the design elements.

I do not believe that this was a proof Ike die to begin with, just a silver clad 1971-S Ike made with a regular business strike working die. It does have indications that the die was polished either to extend the life or to remove traces of a die clash.

Thank you BJ & Hamilton .only 1/2 coin looks PL Obv & Eagle on rev.but they surely polished the hex out of the die
