CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

It certainly looks like it could be a minor doubled die. However, I'll wait for our variety experts to weigh in.

I agree, it could be a minor doubled die if the doubling is rounded (which isn't clear in the photos). It would be better is there was a little separation or distorted extra thickness in an adjacent area to confirm single squeeze hub doubling. Billy or John would probably be willing to look at in person. Thanks for sharing!

To me, it looks like minor machine doubling based upon the shelving stopping in the middle of the lower leaf.

What is seen could easily by localized minor machine doubling or a minor doubled die. At this point we wait for in hand analysis...

I'll wait for the results to see if I need to add this one to my collection. It does look like a minor MDD (where the arrow is).
