  • Die cracks

I have encountered a fair number of coins that have die cracks. Overall, are die cracks something that should be saved? What criteria would one use to determine whether a die crack is worthwhile? Are die cracks more worthwhile on certain denominations or doesn't it matter? I would assume that a coin with, say, five die cracks is more interesting than a coin with one die crack.

    Just wondering.

As you yourself have observed, die cracks are quite common. They're only worth collecting if they're particularly wide, long, or profuse.

This is one of my favorites as far as die cracking goes.
