CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

  • 2010P 5c Better Example of E.Design.Dimples

I have been finding so many of these Extension Design Dimples on 2010 Phillies that I have a small collection..The first example I have listed on traildies.com 2010P-5DRDR-001 is nothing compared to this one.I believe if others search 2010P nickels this anomally is right under your nose.I may send this one in ,as you can see it has lush dimples that are full of life and beauty..I was blown away looking at this coin...

In the end, I believe that they will be more common than machine doubling. I am not to sure how far people will go to collect them or even if there will be an added premium to coins with dimples.

However, we now know of their existence and have some vague idea of how they are created.

Wow to say that they maybe more common than machine doubling is a tall leap.I dont believe so but we may have to watch and see.I think for kicks I may place one on Ebay and see where it goes.As surprising as it may be there is always someone collecting something , be it die cracks or machine doubling .Well for the most part BJ Im just happy to have found this type of anomaly.I feel complete now..
