CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

Is there a book on Mercury Dime Varieties? I seem to have found what looks like a 7 over 7 with the doubling showing only at the top of the 7. Can anyone help?
    Thanks Robert

Treasure Hunting Mercury Dimes By: John A. Wexler and Kevin Flynn is a good place to start

I have that book and when I get back to the homefront later this evening will dig it out and see if there is something listed.

I think that is circulation damage. The metal is moved around from being used in change for many, many years.
