1960 D with errors but really need help how to classify it.
Ok I found this coin in a roll of 1960 D large dates that I bought off someone from ebay in the late 90's but I'm not sure what the error or errors would be classified as. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. It has been struck through something as you can see. It also has a die crack through GOD and the date looks as if it would be a small date but just seems off some how. The thickness is all wrong on all the letters and some kind of doubling on the date most noticeable on the 9 as well. Take a look and tell me what you think because I am at a loss with this one. THanks againTags: None

The only thing I can see wrong with your coin is the struck thru looking place. on coins the letters usually varies in sizes according to how long the die has been in use. the struck thru looking area looks like it is where a laminated piece of the planchet has peeled off and looks to have been after the strike.. what causes this is that sometimes the copper don't get melted enough to blend together and some of it comes loose. I wish you Happy Holidays and have a good one
