CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    2007 $1 John Adams Die Scratch

    I was looking through rolls of 2007 $1 John Adams looking for edge letter errors and I came across a pretty obvious die scratch/gouge. I tried to do a search for this die scratch variety and I haven't been able to locate anything. Out of my 8 rolls that I looked through, I found 7 coins with this scratch present.

    This only thing I can think of ,that the master hub had this damage to it!

      I now have found a total of 9 coins with this mark.

        Im still not sure what made this marks but over all it doesnt add any extra value to your coins!
