1966 SMS Kennedy, looks like "birthmark" on cheek- insight please!
Hello everyone, I also have this 1966 SMS that I am curious about. I found it in a normal SMS set, and picked it up because of what I thought looked like a "birthmark" (to me anyways, and I am aware of the "birthmark" 1967 SMS Kennedy), so I am just curious, can anyone here shed some light on what I am seeing? It is indented, and very clean, but yet, kind of textured inside of where it is concave, I am thinking it is to "clean" to be what I think it would be if it were post mint damage (but I know very well it could be post-mint damage)... Let me know what you think. Thank you very very much again....

Thanks,

Besides, the 1967 Birthmark coins were frost breaks if I recall correctly.Lee Lydston

I am inclined to think that it is a "struck through a foreign object"
We have an area on error-ref.com that deals with "struck throiugh" errors.
