CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Rockwell test mark error 1955s penny?

    hi, I found a 1955s penny with a bump on reverse left wheat, i read about this before can u tell me if this is a rockwell test mark error? Here are some pics. Can someone help me pls thx.

    this is a small die chip. when a chip falls out of a coin die the hole where the chip came from fills back in with the coins metal during the strike.

      thx for the response! i knew it was a die chip but was wondering if it could possibly been a rockwell.

        Could you give some details on what you mean by "a rockwell"? Somehow I am not familiar with the term.

          I meant Rockwell test mark, anyways my bad didnt realize the mark would leave an indent not a outdent or bump,..
