CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

Can't figure out the right RPM

  • Can't figure out the right RPM

    I posted this question in CCF yesterday and not received an response from other members, so hopefully someone here may have a similar 1942-D Mercury dime, from what I gather at VarietyVista dotcom. The dime in question might be a RPM-012. Here's the pictures...

    Looking at your images, the secondary mint mark appears to be southeast which would make it RPM-014.

    I would suggest sending your images to James Wiles and see if he would confirm your findings.

      Thanks!

      I will email Mr. Wiles to see if he's is interested in reviewing it, I though it was RPM-012 because of the descriptions about the die cracks.

        Thanks for moving it BJ.. and yes to the OP, certainly get ahold of James Wiles with this and confirm but I agree with BJ looks to be the RPM-014
