CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Does anyone have a picture of the 1944 P mercury dime DDO 1 and DDO 2? I have found a 1944 P dime with a definite spread on the 1 and the 9. I am not able to post pictures at this time but I can in a couple days. The spread is pretty strong so I am thinking it might be DDO 2 but it can be difficult without a reference picture. Can anyone post a picture for me or point me in the right direction?

Thanks BJ, but I only see the 42/41 DDO on this page. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the mercury dime 1944 P DDOs. CONECA list 3 and I am sure I found one, I just need to find out which one it is. But thanks for the help BJ.

My mistake. I thought that you had said 1941. You may have to check with James Wiles on the 1944 doubled dies. I looked at the CPG, but did not see anything listed for that date.

Yes, James does check this forum every once in awhile. You can post a message to him through his user name Jameswiles by accessing "community" on the toll bar atop of this page.
