  • 1979S Dime Question?

Found this Type II Roosevelt dime with unusual markings near the ear. Before I go and claim it as a (well whatever) coin, I’d like to get your thoughts. Pic 1 is normal, the rest are of the coin in question.

It appears to be a small die chip. Or it possibly could be a die dent from a struck through a foreign object.

I see nothing except perhaps a little superficial damage to the frosting.

Wish you included an arrow. In one pic it looks like a small gouge in the ear. The other shots I just don't if I see anything out of the norm.

I think he is talking about the ear wax inside the ear.. looks like a small die chip. I see what Mike is talking about and that was my first thought as well. (The bottom of the ear)

Are there any strange marks on the reverse? It doesn't look like it lines up right, but could it be a type of die clash? Hey, I am a rookie here so do not take my word for it. It does look a little odd however.
