CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Help with 1991-P Roosevelt? Possible new DDR?

    Hey guys/gals. I need some help on a 1991-P Roosevelt dime. I can't find a listing anywhere for a DDR. The left vertical bar of the R in E Pluribus Unum looks like hub doubling to me. There are no characteristic of MD (to me anyway). It doesn't appear to be shelf-like. There appears to be a valley b/t the bars and a split at the top. Nothing else looks doubled on the reverse. Take a look and tell me what you think.

    I think that this one may have to have an in hand examination. I do see some machine doubling on the laurel branch, so my thoughts lean towards that direction.

      Thanks BJ. I am still training my eyes on what to look for. The doubling on the laurel leaf got by me. Thanks for pointing that out. I will just put it back for a while and see if a listing appears for that date. If it does I will get it examined. Thanks again and have a great day searchers!
