Early example of dimples on a nickel!!
I wonder will this example will better help understand this anomaly.I search alot of coins and this is the earliest example of dimples and the deepest impression yet to be known.Im wondering is this a form of damage but I'm going to wait to see what the pros say about this find!! This is a 2006 P nickel!!!Still the best "Nickel Trail Die Hunter". 2013 ((MIKEE)) T.DavisTags: None

I do not think that these are dimples since they are facing the wrong way. All the dimples that I have seen are facing inward, yours are the opposite. This may be a form of die deterioration.
