  • 1969 d quarter REV-008

First time on forum. Recently submitted this coin with anacs. Came back MS-65. Trying to find out rarity and population and value. Cannot find anyone that can help me. Hoping someone out there knows something about this coin.
The full description is DMR-009, RDV-008.2, LDS.

As far as population and value, I have no idea. Coneca has it listed as rare (blue link). Someone will be along with more help I'm sure.

The CPG does not have values or population either; just states that it is rare.

Bought 1960 type b quarter on ebay. Graded by anacs as MS-65. Coin reverse die is identical to my 1969d. Cant understand why 1969d thur 1972d isnt recognized as a type coin.

You have a rare coins there which could command anywhere between $500 and $1,000. More than likely, closer to a $1,000.

            I have a 69D RDV-008 (Type H) in VF30 which I paid $150 for.

Attrition has claimed a lot of these coins with the reverse which also shows up on 1970D, 1971D and 1972D with 1972D being the most rare.

            Congratulations!

The dies are NOT identical which is why the Type B Reverse has a different RDV number than the Type H. (RDV-002 vs RDV-008)

I don't understand what you are asking?

                  32 d ??

                  65 ?

If you are asking how many 1969-D with the Type H Reverse have been graded at MS65, I don't know. You'd have to check the ANACS or ICG population reports since they are the only TPG's which attribute this rare variety.
