CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

2011 Cent n & m

    2011 Cent n & m

    I found this 2011 cent with an unusual N and M in the word "UNUM". It seems to have part of the letters coming out the side of the letter. See attached photos. I know the coin is not in a condition to save, but I thought I'd bring it to the groups attention incase someone else finds one in better shape. Any comments?

    Looks like some minor die damage.

      Die Scratches

      I have seen similar die scratches on the 2012, 2013, 2014 Lincoln cents. They all are in the E Pluribus Unum area. Several are located thru the E Plu but the rest are all located in the Unum area, as far as I've seen.

      Of course, I am not professing to know all of the varations that may be on these coins, just what I've seen so far.
