CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1982 D cent RPM (possible)

    Found this 1982 D Cent with part of a D sticking out from the left side of the D photo attached. Couldn't find one like it on RPM list, so I'd like to hear your thought of if it is or not.

    I don't think it is an RPM. However, I have no idea of what it is.

      Can you weigh the coin? I suspect its a zincoln and its a plating issue. I dont believe that its a RPM either.

        1982 small date zink cent

        According to my 2015 pricing guide all 1982 D minted cents are zink. I have to agree with you both that it dose not have the looks of an RPM, but I don't know that it is a zink striking error.

          Yours happens to be a small date.. Look at the hump in the 2. It was only zinc. ( but that does not mean that a copper does not exist )

            the coin was 26g. I'd be thrilled to find one which was copper, I'm looking.
