1865 Nickel Three Cent Piece 180 degree clash rotation
I have an 1865 US Nickel Three Cent Piece that shows a full clash 180 degrees off . If you examine the date you'll notice that the two ribbons on the reverse can be seen entity in the date. Now if you look at the over lay you'll see that the ribbons shouldn't be at this location on the coin on a normal clash. They should be above the head not in the date.]downloadfile-12.jpg40529182.jpgLast edited by Paddy54; 08-14-2016, 08:55 PM.La vie dasanteTags: None

Well I must retract my first post. After studying the images I believed that the coin was rotated 180 degrees. After digging it from the vault and looking at it in hand it's not the ribbons. What I believed to have seen, but a triple clash of the wreath that looks to be a ribbon like image on the photo. The way the clash looks even in hand looks like the left split end of the ribbon on the bottom wreath on the reverse .
Even the Roman numeral under Liberty's chin looks to have been clashed 4 or more times. And would estimate that the obv. Surfaces show clashing on at least 75% .La vie dasante
