1947S Lincoln Penny RPM-002?
Years ago I bought several OBW rolls of 1947S pennies. This is one of the ones I pulled out of one of the rolls. I originally marked the coin as a MS66Red. It is really nice with a mellow red color. Closer inspection has revealed it might be a RPM-002. The position of the mint mark looks good. When I look at the coin with my 20X loupe it is very obvious. The breaks in the top swing of the 'S' and a line through the bottom swing of the 'S'. I have tried to get a good picture of the mint mark. The Die Scratch in front of Chin is pretty visible and does not appear to be weak so I would guess it is close to the Stage 'B' pictures. Any thoughts or comments? Looks like a fairly common RPM with over 100 graded by ANACS.Tags: None
