1953S Washington Quarter possible RPM-001
I am looking at a 1953S Washington Quarter that appears to be a RPM-001 (WRPM-001). The coin is a MS66 in a NGC Holder 2088265-052. The position of the mint mark looks to match the pics on VV. The 'tail" of the secondary mint mark is only visible on the right side as it is in the VV pics. There is a die marker on the coin appears to be Wexler's WRPM-001 with a Light NNE/SSW die scratch on the nose. I have no WRPM-001 Stage A die scratches on the reverse which would suggest it is possibly a Stage B. Thoughts or comments?Last edited by rbroederer; 03-14-2021, 06:38 PM.Tags: None

I am going to agree with your analysis that it is probably a stage B RPM-001 / WRPM-001 - it seems the stage A should show more remnants to the underlying S, but this is not a RPM I have on hand to double check.Jason Cuvelier
