  • 2020-P Salt River Bay Quarter

Not sure if I'm in the right forum, Variety or Error.

So "I think" I "may" have found something last night in my CRH'ing activities. Wanted to run this past you guys for your opinions.

Most of what I see on other sites only show the doubling on IGWT.

Here are the pictures of the coin. The IGWT looks normal to me. It's the LIBERTY that jumped out at me. The letters look really thick compared to "all" the other quarters I've been looking at over that past few years! Can you see the differences in the LIBERTY's? I posted a normal one below.

I am definitely seeing what you are seeing.... ...the RTY are especially obvious. This could be a third DDO for this coin. There is the DDO-001, another (unlisted) DDO that has a little doubling in IGWT, and apparently this one. I will have to start looking for this one too. Really nice job cherrypicking this one! You should try to get it attributed some time, you might be the first one to find this variety! Here is a pic of the unlisted DDO and a normal coin for comparison:

The one on the right is the DDO.

Thanks for the feedback and comparison pictures. So, although the thickness in this LIBERTY does not look like a traditional Doubled Die, a TPG might attribute it as one?

Maybe, if it is first attributed by a professional.

I plan on submitting it for attribution through this forum. I have a couple others that look very similar as well. One is a 2019-P American Memorial Park.
