  • 1961 FRANKLIN HALF DDO-009 or WDDO-005?

I am looking at and very colorful 1961 Proof Franklin half. The coin is in a PCGS Holder #41370014 with TrueView Imaging available on PCGS.COM. The subject coin looks extremely similar to the pics on VV for DDO-009 and the pics on DD for WDDO-005. The shape of the '6' in the date is unique as well as the 'S' & 'T' in 'T R U S T'. No die markers are listed for either listing. Thoughts or comments?

Checked out the true view, and I have to say, very nice toner! I have noticed that a lot of your posts are nice toners.

Hello CoinHunter, Thanks. Colored toned coins are a passion for me. I have 6 showcases in the 2021 U. S. Toned Coin Competition on PCGS for public view which highlight some spectacular toned coins...check them out. Same user name rbroederer. https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/col...re-auction/826. Cheers, Bruce.

Hello CoinHunter, Thanks! IMO high definition imaging like PCGS's TrueView® and to a much lesser degree NGC's Photo Vision® (probably just as good but no one can access it.) is the most important improvement to the hobby since TPG in the 80's. I certainly enjoy my coins but now I can share the experience and it was as simple as giving you a link! Hopefully this will become a catalyst to generate more buzz and attract new and younger people to the hobby. Thanks again for the interest. Cheers, Bruce.
