Tapered/Defective planchet
Recently I purchased a huge lot from a local estate sale, had numerous OBW Rolls from the 50's, I decided to break OPEN a few rolls and search for varieties, found numerous RPMS, a few Tapered Planchets, and a few other minor varieties.. One of the rolls I broke into was a 54 S roll, as I'm going through the coin I notice one that that looks like a massive Laminate issue, I got to looking at it, with scale in hand, noticed it weighed 2.59 g . Got looking at it under my scope realized it was some type of either Delamination, or strike through... also on obverse seems it has been struck through debris on shoulder, as well as struck through debris of some kind on Reverse on right wheat ear... Looking for other opinions on this one, Coin shines as it come out of Original wrap, so does show glare, took pics at different angles to show how intact rim is, to show no tampering has been involved in how this coin looks..
