CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    It looks like a DDO to me based on the "E" in "WE" and the "R" in "TRUST"

      It looks like it probably is. Did you try to match it to a listing on doubleddie.com? I would highly suggest that you do.

        Coinhunter, checked variety vista but, none that were an exact match. There were two with similarities in the date and Liberty but nothing really concrete. I'm leaning towards a Discovery.

          The 1972 year was plagued with issues on the Lincoln cent. I believe I read an article that said a master master hub had issues and it affected about 50 percent of the coins struck in 1972. What this might be is a master hub doubling. Varietyvista.com may have some on this, but I think on the majority of the true DDOs there was a noticeable separation in LIBERTY.

          I am not at my pc, so it's difficult to search for the article about the 1972 master hub doubling issues.

            MintErrors: Thanks, I went to the Lincolncentforum and it appears that the aspects described and photo examples match up with mine. Either 004 or 005. Since photo examples aren't designated, I can't say which it is. It was very helpful. Again Thanks.
