  • Nice 54-S BIEs

Pulled 6 of these nice looking BIEs along with a few others from an OBW roll!
    Cuds on Coins: LDB4-1954S-003A 4FL+
    Cohen: 54S-B503
    Hardy: 54S-4FL+

Along with these I also pulled 9 LDB4-1954S-009 4SBL from the same roll.
JC, do you think this could be an earlier stage than the stage A posted on CUDs? The pics on there are blurry but looks like a start of the die chip is showing on the point of the 5. I don't see any sign of the chip on mine, but it does show a crack. If so, let me know and I send the pics over. Thanks

Now I'll try to post some pics. Tried yesterday with no luck.

Nice. Think I got the right conversion to list them here!!

Kloccwork - I too think it's an LDB4-1954S-003A 4FL+, though I'd probably put it just after in terms of die progression. The CUDS photos are blurry and the coin is a little more circulated than yours, so it's a bit hard to tell for sure. Great example and great photos!

Thanks. I was mostly going off the die chip on the 5. I have stage B that has the chip but this one doesnt show any sign of one and I cant tell if A on Cuds has it. Pictures are terrible. Could be the same but cant tell from the blur
