CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    The 1878 7 over 8 tailfeather attribution

I had a lot of fun looking this Morgan Dollar over.
Rather than posting this attribution on two websites, I like to do them on my own website.
This is a VAM-38,a pretty dramatic VAM

    The post is here:

    Here are a few photos....

LIBERTY was taken by cell phone camera.
This is supposedly the widest spread of LIBERTY on the Morgan Dollar series.

The rest of the photos taken on an AMSCOPE stereo, trinocular microscope with a 16MP microscope digital camera.

Under the scope, I can clearly see 5 of the "under feathers".

I spent too much time taking photos, but I am going to research why the lower photograph looks so odd.
I am sure its attributed to having two impressions, but some of the areas just look way off when comparing
distances. It just helps solidify the VAM-38 attribution.

About half the letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM are doubled at the base. I will include a few that are more dramatic than the others.

      I'm pretty sure it's a VAM-38.
