Centrally located doubling on reverse? 1997 D cent

Maybe its pmd? What if its not? So I must ask, is the statue on the reverse doubled? I still have so much to learn. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks for looking.

It is difficult in the photo to see if Lincoln is doubled, but if it has been documented before, it would be over at https://varietyvista.com or https://coppercoins.com.

It could very well be a nice hard strike where the details of Lincoln are there to include the chair he rests on. The doubling if I can remember correctly was off to the right hand side. but I personally did not like the "doubling" because it was so minor looking to me. BUT if it is doubling, and the attributers say it exists, the so be it.

For columns 5-8 That is the area of the room Lincoln resides in. If you compare that area to any other coin in near BU condition with a Memorial reverse they should be close to the same.

Other than that, I don't see anything significant. I think the column doubling was done in 1996 if I remember correctly.

The magnified area is sufficient for a general observation, but it's a tad bit unfocused or grainy to get down in the weeds and provide a better analysis of the area in question.

Some times these areas get maintenance done on them and end up with a lot of scratches which make them look like they may have an extra column. Again Columns 5-8 (start counting from the left side) look normal to me in appearance.
