  • 2021 P Dime - MD, DDD or DD

Hi All. I was going through a roll of dimes that appeared to have DDD. However, when placed under a microscope they appear to have the typical doubling on the left side of the center olive leave north of the RIB in PLURIBUS. The one that I am posting was a little different from the rest in that it appears to have doubling on the olive to the right of the T in UNITED. I took alot of pictures with different lighting since these coins have a lot of glare making it difficult to show details vs glare. Some of the devices look shelfy, like MD. So I really am not sure if this is a DD or just MD.

    Thank you for your opinions.

Usually the DDR on the new dimes are around the right side of that center leaf or the bars on the torch but yours looks like a small die chip to me.
If you havent already check out www.doubleddie.com for the Roosevelt listings and see what Im talking about

Hi Kloccwork419. I looked at the other dimes and of course, you are correct. Mine does not look like a leaf part and there other die chips present. I guess I keep thinking that there could be all 3 represented on one coin, DDD, MD & DD. Probably me overthinking...I took a picture of one of the other coins. You can see die chip on the oakleaf as well.
